Wood Grain Edge Banding Tape — Self-Adhesive PVC, 10 m × 2 cm
$23.13
Descripción
Every piece of furniture tells a story — and the edges are where that story either holds together or falls apart. This self-adhesive PVC edge banding tape gives cut panels, cabinet doors, shelving, and countertop edges a clean, finished look in minutes. No iron, no glue gun, no specialist tools. Peel the backing, press firmly, and the wood grain surface bonds to the edge, covering raw MDF, chipboard, or plywood with a finish that looks intentional rather than improvised.
Ten metres per roll gives you enough to complete a full cabinet run, a wardrobe refurb, or a series of shelving units in one go. Nine finishes span the full range from deep black grain to pale white, warm walnut to cool grey — so you can match existing furniture or build a new look from scratch.

How to apply: Clean the edge surface and allow to dry completely. Peel the backing paper from one end of the tape. Align the tape to the edge and press firmly from one end to the other, smoothing as you go to eliminate air bubbles. Trim any excess with a sharp craft knife or scissors. For best adhesion, press firmly along the full length after application and allow 24 hours before heavy use.
How much do I need? Measure the total linear length of all edges to be covered in metres. One 10 m roll covers up to 10 m of edge. For a standard 6-door kitchen cabinet run (approx. 8–12 m of exposed edge), one to two rolls is typically sufficient.

Setup & Use Tips
For the cleanest result, ensure the edge surface is free of dust, grease, and moisture before applying. On raw MDF or chipboard, a light sand with fine-grit paper before application improves adhesion. When trimming, use a sharp blade and a straight edge for a flush cut. On curved edges, apply the tape in short sections, pressing firmly around the curve as you go. If a section lifts, press firmly with a warm cloth (not hot) to reactivate the adhesive.
Care & Maintenance
Wipe with a damp cloth to clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water or steam, which may weaken the adhesive bond over time. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the tape surface. In high-humidity environments such as bathrooms, ensure the edge surface is fully sealed before application for best long-term adhesion.
FAQ
Does this tape require an iron to apply?
No — this is a pressure-sensitive self-adhesive tape. No iron, heat gun, or glue is required. Simply peel the backing and press firmly onto the edge.
What thickness of panel edge does this cover?
The tape is 2 cm (0.79") wide, which covers standard 16–19 mm (5/8"–34") panel edges commonly used in flat-pack and custom furniture. For thicker panels, a wider tape would be needed.
Will this stick to laminated or painted surfaces?
The adhesive bonds best to clean, dry, porous surfaces such as raw MDF, chipboard, and plywood. Adhesion to laminated or painted surfaces may be reduced — ensure the surface is clean and lightly scuffed for best results.
Can I remove and reposition the tape?
The adhesive is designed for permanent application. Repositioning is not recommended once the tape has been pressed down, as the adhesive bond strengthens with pressure and time.
How many rolls do I need for a kitchen?
For a standard kitchen with 6–8 cabinet doors and exposed shelving edges, 2–3 rolls (20–30 m total) is typically sufficient. Measure all exposed edges before ordering to confirm.
