Size Guide
| Panel Width | Panel Drop | Panels Needed for Full Drape Look |
|---|---|---|
| 100 cm | 200 cm | 4–6× rod length ÷ 100cm per panel |
| 140 cm | 260 cm | 4–6× rod length ÷ 140cm per panel |
| 150 cm | 200 cm | 4–6× rod length ÷ 150cm per panel |
Velvet is a dense, heavy fabric. For a full, gathered look, you need 4–6× your rod length in total panel width. Measure your rod, multiply by 4–6, then divide by the panel width to find how many panels to order. Example: 150cm rod × 5 = 750cm total ÷ 100cm panels = 7–8 panels.
Why This Product
- Genuine Thermal Performance: Dense velvet weave acts as a barrier against cold draughts and summer heat — not just decorative
- Room Darkening Without Full Blackout: Reduces glare and ambient light for better sleep and screen visibility without total darkness
- Elevated Aesthetic: Velvet has a natural sheen and weight that elevates even basic interiors — light grey works across neutral, Scandinavian, and contemporary palettes
- Privacy: Dense fabric blocks visibility from outside, day and night
Not Best For
- Complete blackout — room darkening, not full blackout; some light will pass around edges and through the fabric
- Eyelet, pinch pleat, or tab-top rods — rod pocket header only; requires a standard round rod
- Buying one panel expecting full-width coverage — sold per panel; multiple panels required for a gathered look (see size guide above)
- High-humidity environments — velvet is not suited to bathrooms or damp spaces
Care Instructions
- Dry clean recommended for best results and to preserve the velvet pile
- If machine washing: cold gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag; do not wring
- Hang immediately after washing to prevent creasing — do not tumble dry
- Steam to remove light creases; do not iron directly on velvet pile
- Brush gently with a soft-bristle brush in one direction to restore pile if flattened
Sold per panel. Multiple panels required for full-width coverage — see size guide. Room darkening, not full blackout. Rod pocket header — rod not included. Velvet pile direction may vary slightly between panels. Dry clean recommended.
